Pink Stroller For A Princess

I was recently looking for a pink stroller for my little princess. Finding a good pink baby stroller is harder than you think. Here’s what I wanted. I wanted the stroller to be affordable or under $100 dollars. I didn’t want the stroller to look or feel cheap. And most importantly I wanted a pink stroller. In fact that was my most important criteria. Don’t laugh. A pink stroller is fashion statement. Pink represents girlishness and femininity. It let's everyone know that your baby is a girl. Most of the pink strollers I looked at in Wal-mart and Target that satisfied my criteria were generic strollers that looked and felt cheap.I decided to check online to see if I could find a better value. The first stroller I found was the First Years Jet Stroller, Princess. Because I never buy anything without doing research, I spent a considerable amount of time checking this pink stroller out to see if it’s actually worth the money. Here’s what I found…

Pros

Cute Pink Stroller
Besides being my favorite color, because the stroller is pink it is very easy to find in a crowd.

Comfort
The stroller fits babies up to 50lbs. It has a wider seat base to ensure your child doesn’t get tired.

Safety
The five point harness system is a must for securing your active toddler especially if she leans forward a lot.

Taller Handles
Most of the strollers I’ve looked at have short handles so these taller handles are really convenient especially if you don’t want to bend.

Lightweight
The stroller has a slim style. It folds very compactically and is easy to fold and unfold with one hand. Further, because it is light it is easy to turn. Since it is only 11lbs, it is easy to toss in and out of the trunk for both long and short trips.

Large Upper Storage Console
This makes it easy to store your water bottle, keys, and wallet. The cup holder fits a normal size cup and the zipper pocket is perfect for storing your cell phone or keys.

Underneath Storage
This is designed for your diaper bag and any extras you carry with you. The storage bin underneath is somewhat small, but that is what I was looking for. It’s big enough to stuff a diaper bag and still fit a small purse.

Cons

Wobbly Wheels
Perhaps the biggest complaint about this pink stroller was that some people have said that their stroller had wobbly wheels. I read several reviews on this stroller, and some of them mentioned the "wobbly wheels." I was a little hesitant about this stroller when I read the reviews. However, I found that not everyone experiences this issue. In fact, the stroller has received over 70 reviews on Amazon and is averaging 4 stars. At time of writing this, the stroller is Amazon’s best selling stroller. Some people who experienced the issue have said it only wobbled when they first got it. The real issue seems to stem from an uneven ground. If you stop and realign the wheels, it seems to correct itself. In general, umbrella strollers don’t have great wheels. It is a tradeoff for having such a lightweight stroller. It was comforting for me to know that if for any reason you are not satisfied, you can contact customer service and they will replace the wheels. So I don’t think this is a big issue. And if there is an issue, the excellent customer service compensates for this issue.

Sun Shade Doesn’t Do Anything And Is A Nuisance
The sun shade is not very effective because it’s not very wide. Also it has to be removed to fold up the stroller. The sun visor is silly and it’s best to remove it.

Short Backrest And The Reclining Feature Isn’t A Feature
If your child is tall the backrest may be a little too short and the stroller really doesn’t lean back that far. It’s minimal at best. The recline feature is pretty lame because it is basically two strings you tighten or loosen with a center clip.

Closing Comments

I think this is a very good stroller. It has a lot of features reserved for high end models such as the supported back, up to 50lbs, the 5pt harness, etc. Don’t get me wrong it’s no Maclaren or BOB. The sunshade is useless , it doesn't recline a whole lot, and because it’s lightweight the wheels may sometimes wobble. But it is easy to use, attractive, sturdy, and a great value for the price. It’s not perfect but for the price, it’s a no brainer. All in all, it's a great value and exactly what I was looking for.

Bottom Line
It's affordable. This stroller is a great value and it lasts until 50lbs which is more than many other umbrella strollers I researched. And it’s pink.

Where Can I buy it?
I have not seen this stroller in the stores. I think the best place to buy it online is through Amazon. They usually have free shipping on this stroller. Plus, their price is cheaper than other online retailers.

Where can I read more reviews?
It is important to do research before buying anything. The best place to read more reviews is here on Amazon.
